Actress unaware about pregnancy initially, thought it was jetlag

ELIZA Sam, the Vancouver-born Hong Kong actress, is expecting her first child.

Oriental Daily reported that the actress is now five months pregnant.

Three days ago, she posted on Instagram: “B-a-b-y coming 2019!”

She is expected to deliver next April. Eliza, 34, said she was initially unaware about the pregnancy although she would get tired easily. She thought it was jetlag as she had been travelling a lot then.

The pregnancy, she said, was her best Christmas present.

She married investment banker Joshua Ngo in 2016 in Canada.

> A Thai woman has “bragged” about having four husbands with tattoos all over their bodies, China Press reported.

She posted a picture of her with the men on social media after hearing stories about a man who became an Internet sensation for boasting that he has four wives.

“I have four husbands and I did not even show off! I am pretty,” she wrote.

But it earned her a backlash from netizens, who said that her action was disgraceful.

Her admirers, however, felt she did not do anything wrong.

Following the avalanche of comments on her posting, the woman eventually asked people to be reasonable.

However, she was fired from work for being “too popular”.

> Guang Ming Daily reported that a Japanese woman, who wanted to save money to buy computer games, inadvertently starved her one-year-old son to death.

The 25-year-old woman from Saitama city had spent money, which was meant for milk powder purchases, on earning game points.

Apparently, she would only feed her boy with diluted milk once a day.

The child got thinner by the day and even- tually died in October last year due to malnutrition.

According to police, he weighed just 3.8kg then.

When the mother appeared in court recently, she admitted that she knew that her son would die “one day” but never expected it to happen so quickly.

She said she did not have many friends and this had led to her game addiction.
