Stench leads to the discovery of woman’s body

THE body of a woman was found outside a flat in Farlim, Penang, more than three days after her death, China Press reported.

Ong Siew Kiok, 49, is believed to have fallen to her death from the flat.

A neighbour, who was trying to find the source of a stench, discovered her body in a patio that was not visible to passersby.

Police circulated photos of the deceased hoping residents could identify her but no one seemed to know her. She came from Relau in Bayan Lepas, according to the address on her MyKad.

A viral video of a crocodile that emerged in the lake prompted wildlife authoritie­s to send personnel to the lake.

They found a 45kg crocodile trapped in a cage that they placed in the lake overnight.

They believed the animal had swum to the lake from a nearby water source.

Oriental Daily quoted an Apple Daily report that the owner of a hotel in Hong Kong went after the couple for HK$2,250 (RM1,200).

Etta only had HK$20 (RM10) with her and she had to ask her mother Elaine Ng for help.

The report quoted the owner as saying that Etta and Andi were staying in the hotel most of the time without leaving the premises.

Previous media reports said they were running a studio business in Canada. They returned to Hong Kong at the end of November.
