HONG Kong superstar Jackie Chan’s estranged daughter Etta Ng said she first realised she liked girls when she was in primary school, China Press reported.

“Other girls would discuss which boys they liked, but it was different with me as I was attracted to girls,” she told Apple Daily in an interview.

She said she realised her sexual orientation when she was 12.

Ng also said she was planning to adopt a child with her Canadian wife Andi Autumn, whom she wed last month.

“There are many children in this world who do not have a family and they yearn for love,” she added.

> The daily also reported that a kindergarten teacher injured her throat after she unknowingly swallowed a 3cm-long glass shard while eating spicy hot pot.

The 22-year-old woman, who packed a hot pot set from a stall in Clementi, Singapore, on Dec 7, was shocked to find a piece of glass after spitting out the hard object.

She quickly went for an X-ray, laryngoscopy and CT scan, which showed no foreign object in her throat and abdomen. But her throat became inflamed five days later.

The woman then confronted the hot pot stall over the incident. The stall manager found another glass shard inside a box of beef tripe.

The staff discarded the box and agreed to compensate the victim.

> A Sichuan hot pot restaurant in Shanghai, China, has challenged diners by offering a range of bizarre combinations of ingredients, reported Sin Chew Daily.

Among the “delectables” are the zhang zhang milk tea set which contains Oreo crumbs, salted egg, pumpkin, taro balls, sweet purple potatoes, spicy sauce and tapioca pearls, while the durian coconut milk hot pot contains actual durian skin.
