Majesty targets regional market growth

-

MAJESTY Golf, a subsidiary of Maruman, is out to consolidate its position in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia in 2019.

With this in mind, the Japan company has announced the appointment of MST Golf as a strategic partner and exclusive distributor of its products in the three countries.

“In collaborating with MST Golf we trust that their experience, strengths, passion and support for golf will drive Majesty as a luxury golf brand in these markets,” said Majesty Golf Greater China and South-East Asia managing director Alex Qi.

“Maruman has been producing golf clubs for nearly 50 years and uses cutting edge manufacturing processes to build quality clubs. As Majesty became our leading brand of our product portfolio, we decided to ride the wave and re-brand it as Majesty Golf,” said Qi.

Also present at the announcement was Majesty Golf chief marketing officer Tsukamoto Shunsuke, who added: “Majesty continues to focus on exquisite designs, pushing the boundaries in craftsmanship and technology and using only the best materials available.

“And while the Maruman product line continues to evolve, we aim also to create a segment catering to a wider selection of golfers in the region and around the world as a whole,” said Tsukamoto.

“We want to accelerate our expansion programmes in China and the South-East Asian markets more than ever in the coming year – that’s what we are targeting.

“With Japanese craftsmanship, Majesty provides the ultimate products for golfers to perform their best with the utmost confidence and pride,” he added.

MST Golf managing director K.P. Low said: “We are delighted with our appointment as exclusive distributor for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

“This is a strong testament to the trust of the leading brands placed in MST Golf as the largest golf retailer in South-East Asia.

“We are both excited and looking forward to growing with Majesty Golf in our markets,” he said.
