School welcomes four sets of twins

You would see double not just once, but four times at SK Serkam Darat here.
Four sets of twins registered at the school for Year One.
The twins – Muhammad Danial and Muhammad Danish Azlan, Nurain Amirah and Nurain Athirah Abdul Malek, Muhammad Nur Airie and Muhammad Nur Airil Ahmad Redzuan, and Mior Razieq Harith and Mior Rafieq Hazieq Mohd Rosdy – were among the 97 Year One pupils who started the new term yesterday.
To mark the special occasion, the school invited a troupe of traditional musicians dressed as hulubalang (Malay warriors) to accompany the twins and other Year One pupils to their respective classes.
“We hope this will be a memorable occasion for the pupils, parents and teachers,” SK Serkam Darat headmaster Abu Hassan Ahmad said.
He said the school decided to invite the traditional musicians from Persatuan Seni Silat Gerak Tepat Umbai to enliven the first day of the school.
He added that Muhammad Danial, Muhammad Danish, Nurain Amirah and Nurain Athirah had been placed in Kelas 1 UTM; Muhammad Nur Airie and Muhammad Nur Airil in Kelas 1 UKM; and Mior Razieq Harith and Mior Rafieq Hazieq in Kelas 1 USM.
“We decided not to separate the twins from their siblings because we do not want them to lose focus during classes,” he told reporters.
Abu Hassan said previously, SK Serkam Darat only had one or two pairs of twins simultaneously.
Nurain Amirah, who aspires to become a doctor, said she woke up at 5am to get ready for her first day at school.
“I am happy because I can meet my friends here,” said the shy seven-year-old, who also attended preschool at the same school.
