Four held over murder of factory hand

SHAH ALAM: Four suspects have been arrested while another is being sought by police over the murder of a factory worker here.

Th i y ahu Marimuthoo, a PKR youth member who had contested for a committee member’s post during last year’s party election, was stabbed in a flat along Jalan Plumbum on Monday.

Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said police were looking for Ozziram M. Devan (pic), 25, to help with investigations into the murder.

“He also goes by the name Ozi and his last known address is Taman Karupiah, Padang Jawa, Klang.

“Anyone with information on the man should contact Asst Supt K. Vignesh Kumar at 03-5520 2222 immediately,” he said.

SAC Fadzil also added that police had so far arrested four suspects in connection with the murder.

“The three men and a woman aged between 20 and 25 were picked up by police around the Klang and Shah Alam area following the murder. “We have remanded them for seven days to help with investigations,” he said.

It was reported that the 30-year-old victim died after being attacked in a flat.

It is believed that he was stabbed by three suspects.

The victim suffered heavy injuries to the face, head, hand and leg areas, and was rushed to the Shah Alam hospital by members of the public.

He died while receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
