Man killed after falling from building site through house roof

A FAMILY of four had the shock of their lives when a man fell from the 20th floor of a construction building in Melaka and landed onto the roof of their home, reported Sinar Harian.

The victim, 38-year-old Mohammad Nasir from Bangladesh, died at the scene.

His body was stuck in the ceiling of the house.

Homeowner Tan Soo Puay, 55, said she did not expect her worst fear about the construction of the condominium next door to come true.

“We were shocked when we heard a loud thud coming from the second floor of the premises.

“When we went to the top floor, we saw a body hanging off a beam in the ceiling,” she said.

Jalan Kubu Fire and Rescue station chief, deputy enforcement officer Kamarulzaman Md Din, said they rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 10.27am.

He said part of the condominium’s scaffolding that was under construction had fallen along with Mohammad.

The football fan explained that she likes Arsenal mainly because Ramsey played for them.
