Man killed after falling from building site through house roof

-

A FAMILY of four had the shock of their lives when a man fell from the 20th floor of a construction building in Melaka and landed onto the roof of their home, reported Sinar Harian.

The victim, 38-year-old Mohammad Nasir from Bangladesh, died at the scene.

His body was stuck in the ceiling of the house.

Homeowner Tan Soo Puay, 55, said she did not expect her worst fear about the construction of the condominium next door to come true.

“We were shocked when we heard a loud thud coming from the second floor of the premises.

“When we went to the top floor, we saw a body hanging off a beam in the ceiling,” she said.

Jalan Kubu Fire and Rescue station chief, deputy enforcement officer Kamarulzaman Md Din, said they rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 10.27am.

He said part of the condominium’s scaffolding that was under construction had fallen along with Mohammad.

> Singer Zizi Kirana, 33, revealed that her emotional statement on Instagram Stories was not because of a broken heart, reported Harian Metro.

She said she was merely disappointed that

her favourite footballer Aaron Ramsey, an Arsenal player, might be moving to Juventus.

Zizi said she was surprised that a news portal reported that she had a break up.

“How could I break up with someone when I am not in a relationship to start with?” she said.

Zizi had posted on Instagram: “10 years I have taken care of this relationship. Everything that I have sacrificed ... I rather accept people’s insults and defend you, I am loyally waiting.

“I will endure the torture of missing you because we are apart. All this because I love you, but in the end ...”

The football fan explained that she likes Arsenal mainly because Ramsey played for them.
