KUALA LUMPUR: PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli has distanced himself from the drug possession arrests involving three people linked to an outfit he founded.

Police have earlier confirmed the arrests of the three at 12.30am yesterday as well as the seizure of 75g of ganja.

“We raided an apartment in Taman Mutiara, Jinjang, arrested the three and seized 75g of ganja.

“Two of the suspects work as a marketing executive and graphic designer for Invoke Malaysia Sdn Bhd while another is a former staff.

“They have been remanded for six days to help with investigation,” said Sentul OCPD Asst Comm S. Shanmugamoorthy.

The case, said ACP Shanmugamoorthy, was being investigated under Section 39A of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug possession, which carries a minimum of five years in prison, upon conviction.

Invoke Malaysia, a data analytic and digital marketing agency linked to Rafizi, managed the social media accounts of 103 Pakatan Harapan candidates during GE14.

In a statement, Rafizi said employers were not responsible for their employees’ actions
