Love our environment

-

IT IS time that we expose our young at schools to care for and love the environment.

Let us beat plastic pollution. To me, the single use of plastic must be banned in our country as using this is a classical case of destroying mother earth.

By 2050, I am told there would be more plastic than fish in our oceans. We should not let this happen and must make every effort to respect planet earth.

Let us teach children to make our country beautiful, clean and tidy. Yes, we must pay attention to the environment.

We should protect it. Mother Nature must be protected and saved.

Every year, we plant trees to show we care, but is that enough? Mother Nature needs all the help it can get.

Let us do more for the environment. Begin at class. Here are steps to protect the environment: ●

Enjoy living in clean surroundings. Cook your own food; ●

Hang flower pots with coconut shells; ●

During the heatwave, open windows to allow the breeze in, instead of turning on air-conditioners; and ●

Don’t buy plastic water bottles. We tell the children to use stainless steel water bottles and turn off the tap while brushing their teeth.

It is time to ponder what we can do to save Mother Nature.
