PETALING JAYA: The pressure is on for draw specialists Perak.

Australian centreback Zachary Anderson (pic) said the players know they are in a bad situation and are working hard in training to ensure they can start winning again.

The Silver State have won one, lost one and drawn six matches in the Super League.

Perak are currently in Jengka, Pahang for their FA Cup third-round match against Jerantut FA at the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium today.

Anderson is optimistic they will make it to the quarter-finals.

“I have come to a team that won the Malaysia Cup last season ... a club built on success,” said the former Kedah and PKNS player.

“Every game we play, we play to win. We are working hard every day, every week to turn these draws into wins.

“If we remain positive, keep doing the right things on and off the pitch, we’ll be winning matches soon.”

Anderson has come under pressure from the fans as they deemed him too slow and not good enough for Perak.

“I have been in Malaysia for three years now. You ride the highs, you ride the lows. I just make sure I work hard every single day.

“Together, we will move forward. We want to achieve something this season.

“We don’t take notice of things that are going to hold us back. We only move forward.”

Meanwhile, coach Mehmet Durakovic said the match is not going to be easy as his squad are battling with injury and fitness problems.

“We do not have a big squad. Now some of our foreigners are injured. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we don’t lose any more players.

“They are also playing so many games this month. Definitely not easy for us.”

If we remain positive, keep doing the right things on and off the pitch, we’ll be winning matches soon.
