K-POP group makes history at Billboard Music Awards
K-POP group BTS made history at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards by being the first South Korean band to win the Top Duo/Group Award, Sin Chew Daily reported.
They defeated other famous bands – Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5 and Panic! At The Disco.
The boy band also took home the Top Social Artist award for the third consecutive year.
BTS leader and rapper RM, whose real name is Kim Namjoon, started his speech with “Thank you, Army (which are what BTS fans are known as).”
> China Press reported that a security guard, who was high on drugs, threw bicycles from the second floor of an apartment in Kuala Lumpur.
A resident said the guard had been looking for her neighbour. When he failed to find the neighbour, he got angry and started throwing things from the walkway onto the ground floor.
The resident said she then called the police and was told to stay inside her unit.
However, when she called the apartment’s management, the staff told her that it would send another security guard but the woman alleged that no one turned up.
When contacted by China Press, a representative from the management said it had fired the guard a few days before the incident due to his work attitude.
She also said that the management would compensate the resident for the two bicycles thrown by the guard.

According to Nanyang Siang Pau, the tycoon named Zhao had paid Rick Singer, the ringleader of the scandal, which allegedly paid off coaches at top universities to get students in on sports scholarships and even had someone else take their SAT exams.
This was the highest amount paid yet in the scandal involving 33 other parents.
Zhao has yet to be charged.
