Don’t share photos of kids online, parents warned

-

ARTISTE Wani Kayrie has cautioned parents not to share photographs of their children on social media as they could be misused by paedophiles, reported Kosmo!

Wani, 19, said a photograph of her taken during a singing contest years ago was now being used as the profile picture for a Facebook account created under her name to send paedophilic messages and pictures of other children.

“My head was cropped off, but it’s my picture. It was taken when I participated in Kamilah Bintang at the age of 10,” she said.

She learned about the Facebook account when friends and fans alerted her last week.

She said she had informed her recording company and her mother, and would lodge a police report.

> A brothel offering violent sex services was exposed when police raided its premises in Puchong, reported Sinar Harian.

Sex using handcuffs was among the services offered and clients were charged up to RM160 per session.

Seven Vietnamese women were nabbed during the operation by the Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division team from the Selangor police headquarters.

> Harian Metro reported on a viral video clip showing a naked boy being forced to kneel with his hands raised as a man threatens to hit him with a broom.

The boy, 11, was allegedly being punished by his stepfather in front of their house in Sungai Siput.

His aunt lodged a report on Tuesday after watching the video clip.

Sungai Siput OCPD Supt Mohd Khaizam Ahmad Shahabu said a medical report would be obtained to ascertain elements of abuse.
