Don’t share photos of kids online, parents warned

ARTISTE Wani Kayrie has cautioned parents not to share photographs of their children on social media as they could be misused by paedophiles, reported Kosmo!

Wani, 19, said a photograph of her taken during a singing contest years ago was now being used as the profile picture for a Facebook account created under her name to send paedophilic messages and pictures of other children.

“My head was cropped off, but it’s my picture. It was taken when I participated in Kamilah Bintang at the age of 10,” she said.

She learned about the Facebook account when friends and fans alerted her last week.

She said she had informed her recording company and her mother, and would lodge a police report.
