SINGER Hael Husaini (pic) has revealed that he’s been getting criticisms over social media for his sudden weight gain, Kosmo! reported.

Hael, whose real name is Hal Husaini Razmi, said it was due to the medication for his illness.

The 31-year-old said his weight had gone from 53kg to 63kg in just three weeks of treatment as the medication he was on for his illness contained steroids, which causes weight gain.

“If there are 300 comments, 100 comments would be about bodyshaming me.

“They would say that I have become fat, that my cheeks are rounder and other stuff but I chose to keep quiet,” he said, adding that these critics might not know that he was suffering from an illness.

He said even the quality of his performances had been affected by his illness.

He, however, assured his fans that he was recovering and keen to resume his regular work schedule.

> Utusan Malaysia reported that a family in Permatang Badak, Kuantan, has been breaking fast with plain rice and salted fish.

The family has been living in a wooden shack with a leaking roof and floor for the past 11 years.

Nor Azuha Wan Muda, 35, said her husband, Mohd Hussein Abdul Syukor, was an odd job worker who only made about RM40 to RM50 per day when he had work.

“It makes me sad whenever my eldest child, who is 10, tells me that he wants to try Ramadan delicacies at the bazaar, such as ayam percik and murtabak.

“Because we don’t have money, I have never been able to take my children to a Ramadan bazaar,” she said, adding that she and her husband could only provide plain rice with salted fish for their children daily.
