‘datuk’ promised personal assistant position to underage duo

AT least two underaged girls have been raped by a “Datuk” who dangled the promise of providing them with lucrative jobs in Kajang, reported China Press.

The “Datuk” befriended the victims via friends-based social networks by offering them to become his personal assistant.

Police picked up the man, in his 40s, at a house in Kajang on Thursday after receiving two police reports on Monday and Tuesday.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff believes that more victims could have been involved and urged those with information to come forward and assist police investigation.

“One of them is a student who befriended the ‘Datuk’ via a social platform.

“The suspect said he could get her a job before raping her at a shoplot in Bangi. The other victim was duped the same way,” he said, adding that the cases were being investigated under Section 376 of the

Penal Code for rape.

Another social media user said: “The song is still the same but A-do is no longer the singer we know previously.”

However, another user said: “Please let him off as medication could make people gain weight.”

It was previously reported that A-Do made a quiet disappearance from the music industry for seven years after he was diagnosed with panic disorder. He put on weight as a result of medication.
