A SONG has been created by four singers about the sentiments of the people facing today’s issues.

Kita, a song featuring Ernie Zakri, Ara Johari, Usop and Putera Muhammad, was inspired by the impact of Covid-19 on everyone worldwide, reported Berita Harian.

The head of Rocketfuel Entertainment, Feros Sayna, who produced the single, said the changes that people have had to make in their daily lives gave him the idea for the song.

“And because of the pandemic Muslims, for example, have to fast and celebrate Syawal in the new normal.

“However, this has made us more grateful for the things we have,” he said.

Feros said the individual traits of the four talents complement each other and resonate in the song.

“Ernie is a stellar performer while Ara is known for strong vocals. Usop’s voice often attracts people, so he was an obvious choice for the project.

“Meanwhile, Putera Muhammad has a mesmerising voice that brings a special touch to the song,” he added.

> The paper also reported on veteran actress Wan Maimunah Wan Abdul Aziz who cried after she received aid recently.

A video clip of her receiving the aid went viral.

“I know fans care about me. They thought I was crying because I was abandoned. But my tears weren’t because nobody visited me or came to help me.

“I was just so touched when ustaz Sheikh Mohammad and other young preachers from my adopted home in Kota Puteri, Batu Arang, came all the way to send me donations,” she said.

The 67-year-old dismissed claims that Malaysian Artistes Association (Seniman) and its president Zed Zaidi did not extend help to her.

“I felt terribly sad when Malaysians condemned Seniman because in truth they were actually among the first few associations that offered me help,” she clarified.

The actress, who has starred in over 1,000 dramas, said that she has been receiving donations regularly and at times, she would also extend the donations to others who were more in need.
