Taylor’s achieves a world’s first
TAYLOR’S International School (TIS) has been accredited the Quantum Learning Distinguished School (QLDS) Award, making it the world’s first school to receive the high honour from the Quantum Learning Network (QLN) – a premier education and teacher development programme from the United States.
The award recognises TIS’ and its teachers commitment towards excellence in teaching and learning with the integration of Quantum Learning, which emphasises the creation of joyful, meaningful and challenging learning experiences by using four core components – foundation, atmosphere, environment, design and delivery.
Students taught using Quantum Learning – a method that brings joy to learning and raises the competency of the teachers – are more engaged, and are able to achieve higher levels of comprehension and competency across a broad range of subjects.
Taylor’s Schools president B.K. Gan said TIS is on track in its commitment towards producing high-quality educators who deliver world-class learning experiences.
“It is important for TIS to give the best education to our learners. It is this commitment towards excellence in education and the desire to continuously improve our skill set as educators that drives TIS to not just know the ‘what’ in education but the ‘why’ and ‘how’ to maximise learning and enjoyment of learning in their students.
“Continuous learning and self improvement are values we want to inculcate in our students, and we hope that we are leading by example,” he said.
Impressed by the school’s effort and dedication, QLN consultant and chief trainer Mark Reardon said the journey to excellence in education is an on-going effort that the TIS family is committed to.
“With the achievement of the award, the school and its teachers are on the right track in meeting their objective of building a generation of learners and teachers who will take on the future as global leaders and top-tier educators,” he said.
