E-orientation a first for TAR UC students

-

FOR the first time, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) held it’s e-orientation for students who enrolled in its foundation, A-Level, diploma, bachelor’s degree and Master’s programmes.

The virtual orientation encompassed a variety of online briefings and activities, aimed at acclimatising new students to the varsity.

The e-orientation and online learning initiatives are part of the varsity’s efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for new students to learn effectively and successfully as the country gradually recovers from Covid-19.

“This is TAR UC’s first e-orientation and I believe that we are setting a new benchmark for ourselves with these sessions.

“E-orientation is part of the new normal of online learning and I hope that new students have learnt useful things about TAR UC from their sessions that will enable them to embark on a fulfilling academic journey here,” TAR UC president Prof Dr Lee Sze Wei said.

Welcoming the new students, he said while it’s a new start to their tertiary education journey, they also have more responsibilities as university students.

Taking cognisance that the year has been challenging, Prof Lee encouraged the students to learn effectively through TAR UC’s online learning platforms.

During the e-orientation, the varsity detailed its campus life, counselling services, clubs and societies, financial aid, safety awareness and library services through a series of videos.
