ARTISTE Datuk Aznil Nawawi (pic) felt shivers down his spine when the Raja Permaisuri Agong entertained his request to use the name of her Twitter account, Che Minah Sayang, in his new single, Berita Harian reported.

He initially sought Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Iskandar’s permission via an Instagram message early this month.

“After getting a response on the number to call, I called the Raja Permaisuri Agong. I was shivering when talking to Her Royal Highness,” he recalled.

Aznil said he was so nervous that at times, he mistakenly referred to himself as “saya” instead of “patik”.

“I also sent an official letter requesting permission to use the name Che Minah Sayang in my song Apo, which touches on cyber bullying.

“It would be great if the Queen could grace the launching of my new single next month,” he added.

He also said Apo could be used as a theme song to fight cyber bullying.

> The daily also reported that widower Kamil Abd Wahab is not only the breadwinner, but also mother and father to an autistic toddler and his eldest son, who is suffering from hydrocephalus.

Kamil, 39, said he felt lost for months after his wife died from an infection a few years ago. But with the support of his mother and 13 siblings, he was able to move on.

Kamil, who lives in Kedah, said his autistic son Al-Ammar, aged three, was the source of his strength.

His daily routine includes cooking, cleaning and attending to his children. He sends Al-Ammar to a community rehabilitation centre before going to work.

After picking him up in the afternoon, he cooks lunch.

His father-in-law Baki Aruf, 62, who is also in poor health, helps to care for the children when Kamil returns to work in the afternoon.

Kamil, who is a padi farmer and rubber tapper, needs RM1,500 a month to buy special milk and disposable diapers for his elder son.

Despite the challenges he faced, Kamil said he was determined to give his best for his children.
