Friso Gold launches smart packaGinG app

Trackeasy enables product tracking from source to shelf

-

Friso Gold’s recently launched TrackEasy smart packaging app is addressing food safety concerns by enabling access to information regarding its products as it moves along the supply chain to reach consumers.

The Friso Gold TrackEasy Malaysia online launch event on June 20, hosted by actress Aishah Sinclair, saw hundreds of Malaysian parents tuning in to find out more about the smart packaging app.

Dutch Lady Milk Industries Malaysia (DLMI) managing director Tarang Gupta said parents today always researched extensively on the milk brands that they planned to give to their children.

This belief was proven by a recent survey conducted by theAsianparent among 400 mums in Malaysia, where 99% of respondents reported that they will trust a brand more if its products are of good quality and have passed stringent quality control processes.

The app is Friso Gold’s response to providing parents with assurance on the authenticity, safety and product quality of the company’s formulated milk powder for children.

Via TrackEasy, parents will be able to access real-time information from farm to trolley by scanning the QR code at the bottom of 900g tins, which empowers them to make wellinformed decisions for their children.

The app provides tin-specific information from the company’s dairy farming to milk collection and the production process, all the way to quality auditing, as well as packaging and export.

This means transparency on cow and farm audits, when milk was collected from the farm, when it was packaged, what quality control tests were done and shipping information from the Netherlands to Malaysia.

Tarang shared, “The TrackEasy QR code allows parents to trace the full journey of the Friso Gold product from our farms in the Netherlands and be assured of the authenticity, safety and quality of Friso Gold, emphasising the importance of food security. This gives assurance to all our mothers about how this product was made, with the best and highest quality.”

Comprising milk powders catered for the motherhood journey, including Frisomum Gold for expectant mothers and Friso Gold Step 3 & 4 for growing children, Friso Gold and its TrackEasy app builds upon FrieslandCampina’s 140-year Dutch dairy expertise and fullchain control advantage.

“At Friso Gold, we are able to provide this unique experience because we own over 11,000 farms and have full control over the single manufacturing process from grass to glass,” added Friso Gold Malaysia marketing manager Claire Daphne Dominic.

In conjunction with the launch of Trackeasy, FrieslandCampine and DLMI are organising its firstever search for the Top 50 Friso Gold TrackEasy Mombassadors, a contest that will select 50 lucky mothers who stand to win RM5,000 in cash and six units of Friso Gold products. The contest ends on Aug 16.
