‘Experiment’ causes train to derail in Japan

-

A 10-year-old boy claiming he was “conducting experiments” caused a train to derail in Japan’s Chiba prefecture last month, reported China Press.

According to Japanese press, a train travelling between AwaKamogawa and Awa-Amatsu went off the tracks at 3.55pm on May 8, which left one out of 20 passengers on board injured.

The police discovered that the incident was caused by a 10-yearold boy who had placed stones on the tracks 200m away from where the incident happened.

When questioned, the boy claimed he was curious and was “conducting experiments”.

He said he wanted to see what would happen if the trains were to hit the stones and that he would place bigger stones on the tracks after each attempt.

The boy later apologised and said he regretted his actions.

Prior to this incident, a train on the same railway tracks was forced to stop twice on April 21 after hitting stones on the track. Police are investigating if the two incidents are linked.

“He said the colour was so bright and more suited to be worn on stage. Anyway, I like it! Because it is you (Li) who gave it to me!” she said.

The post garnered widespread Internet attention with many fans praising Li for being a conscientious husband.

Li and Yang got hitched in September after dating for four years.
