DJ Danny One’s car ransacked by thieves

SINGER and deejay Danny One became the second artiste to fall victim to thieves on Monday, Sin Chew Daily reported.

This came after someone pickpocketed music composer Jet-Qi Yi’s sling bag, which was hung behind his chair when he was dining in a restaurant in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, together with his Chinese artiste friend Wu Guanyan.

In a Facebook post, Danny said his car was ransacked by thieves on Monday morning and he lost RM85.

Fortunately, he said, the windscreen was not broken, and there was no major damage to the car.

Reports said the barbecue restaurant in Jiangsu province’s Nanjing city received a home delivery order from a customer.

The order had a special remark which read: “Help ... thank you!”

Upon reading it, the restaurant’s operator alerted the police.

The customer was shocked when police officers showed up.

He told them that as he felt an urge to smoke, he wanted the deliveryman to buy him a packet of cigarettes. Due to technical problems, the remark, which was supposed to read “Help buy a packet of cigarettes, thank you!” was not displayed in full. > China Press reported that Hong Kong singer and pro-democracy activist Denise Ho simply used eight Chinese words in her social media post to sum up her disappointment at the passing of the Chinese national security draft legislation. Ho remarked: “The one country, two systems is officially dead.” Last month, Ho joined other artistes to express her concerns that artistes’ freedom of expression and creativity would be curtailed.
