Character actress Zarynn Min is no ordinary heroine

-

ARTISTE Zarynn Min may not have the features befitting a heroine but she has carved a name in the entertainment industry as a versatile actress, Harian Metro reported.

Zarynn, 40, had no qualms playing supporting roles as most dramas revolved around young couples.

“I do not have the features of a heroine that usually appear naive, soft and attractive.

“I have sharp facial features, suitable for antagonist roles,” she said.

Zarynn, whose real name is Noraszarinawati Tumin, finds it exciting to be cast alongside millennial talents.

She played one of the leading roles in a new drama with Chacha Maembong and Abby Nadzri.

The drama, D.M: Delima, is about three women from different age groups facing bittersweet challenges on social media.

Zarynn also said she was comfortable being single.

“Nowadays it is difficult to find a life partner who is willing to face hardship together. The situation is not like before.

“Guys today are more inclined to finding women boasting career or wealth, or daughters from influential families. They are not interested in the mediocre lot,” she said.

> Foreign workers would be allowed to pray in mosques once effective measures are imposed to prevent Covid-19 transmission, Berita Harian reported.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri said foreigners would only be allowed to pray in mosques when the situation is stable.

“We will also allow Friday prayers to be held in surau in the Federal Territory, but permission must be sought first from the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department and the mufti’s office,” he said.
