Teenage TikTok superstars earning a good income

TEENAGE TikTok superstars, who have thousand of followers thanks to their quirky and creative viral videos, are making between RM4,000 and RM10,000 a month, Metro Ahad reported.

These “instant teen celebritie­s”, some as young as 15, are a new phenomenon with their strong following of up to 700,000 fans worldwide.

Social media personalit­y Muhammad Danish Danieal Shamsaini, aka Coki, Malaysia’s “Slowmo King”, has uploaded more than 50 videos since he became active on TikTok last December.

“Previously, I was more focused on the Slowmo app but now I’m more active on TikTok.

“I became popular when there was a conflict between my fans and the BTS Army,” he said, referring to fans of the K-pop group from South Korea.

After the incident, he said he received more than 120,000 views per video each time he uploaded a new clip.

“Alhamdulli­lah, I can make up to RM4,000 per month,” he said.

Meanwhile, another influencer Ahmad Akid Zulkiflee, aka Akiddos, said he could make up to RM10,000 per month on TikTok.

He revealed that he had almost 700,000 followers on his account which was created three years ago. He also received offers from clients to make videos for them.

“I will continue to be a social media personalit­y to help my family. Half of the income will be used to start my own F&B business in the future,” he said.

The restaurant is jointly operated by her two close friends Geoff Leembrugge­n and Shankar.

Jaclyn, whose real name is Jaclyn Joshua Thanaraj Victor, 42, admitted that she didn’t know where the courage came from to start the business but for her, it was a dream come true.

“I knew Geoff after his car hit my car at the end of last year. After the incident, he invited me to his restaurant.

“Not long after, Geoff contacted me and asked whether I was interested to become his business partner and open a restaurant,” she said.

“I did not think too long about it and accepted the offer. If you ask me what made me take such a brave move, I do not have an answer,” she said.
