Singer Alvin Chong finally hitting the right chord

-

ACTOR and singer Alvin Chong is making his way up the music industry after his fifth single Sayangku Salmah became a hit, Harian Metro reported.

Chong, 29, believed the song succeeded because fans could relate to it more than his previous singles, which did not do well.

“I’m not sure – maybe it’s because of the title or the overwhelming response I’ve received on TikTok.

“Why is the title Sayangku Salmah?

It’s because it is a name that resonates well with our community.

“When I uploaded this song on TikTok, many people left comments saying that they have a friend or sister named Salmah,” he added.

Chong’s TikTok video of the song, which was uploaded two weeks ago, has garnered over 20 million views.

> Kosmo! reported that three siblings were found starving in a unit at the Kota Damansara People’s Housing Project during a raid by officers from an anti-drugs agency.

The siblings – two boys and a girl, aged between four and 11 – were found in a room during the raid on Sunday. One of them asked for food upon seeing the authorities.

Preliminary investigations showed that the unit had been rented by a woman, believed to be their mother, who used it as a place to take drugs with her boyfriend and friends.

The mother and two men in the unit later tested positive for methamphetamine, while the three children were handed over to the Welfare Department.
