Salesmen who failed to hit target made to run naked

-

A GROUP of five salespeople in Changsha City, China, were spotted running naked across the city after failing to hit their sales target, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The five men, aged between 18 and 27, had reportedly lost a bet against a rival team and had to accept the punishment by running across Changsha City’s 3C Plaza.

Their antics got them arrested for causing a public nuisance and they were detained for nearly a week.

From a picture posted by a passer-by, the Changsha City police were seen providing the men with towels to cover up their private parts before taking them to the police station.

The leader of the group, whose surname is Chen, 23, was held for seven days for police investigations.

When the pictures started circulating online, many Internet users criticised the act as “disgusting” and suspected that the company had a hand in meting out the “punishment”.

“I don’t think it is the employees’ idea to run naked. Could it be a punishment by the company?” one Internet user wrote, adding that the police should also be investigating the company for misconduct.

> Even though he was smiling, Eric Tsang’s face looked gaunt and hollow in a recent video posted a month after his wife’s death, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The 67-year-old actor from Hong Kong posted a video on Aug 31 of him wishing schoolchildren the best of luck as they were set to return to school on Sept 31 when the summer holiday ends.

Fans pointed out that Tsang appeared to have more grey hair and that despite his best efforts to smile, it could not hide his hollow cheeks.

Many took to social media to offer their condolences and hoped Tsang would feel better soon.

Tsang’s wife Rebecca Chu died on Aug 3 at the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital.
