SINGER Siti Sarah Raissuddin has apologised to the Orang Asli and the public over a video incident that went viral on social media.

She was allegedly said to have insulted the Orang Asli, Berita Harian reported.

Siti Sarah was caught on video insinuating that the hair of Orang Asli was bad while promoting a shampoo with Ridzo Okumura, the director of House of Ridz Okumura Sdn Bhd.

She has since reiterated that she never intended to degrade anyone as she respected all Malaysians.

“I really hope everyone accepts my apologies as this happened unintentionally.

“I hope this issue is not blown out of proportion,” she said in a statement.

She also said she forgave Ridzo for uploading the video without her consent.

“With more than 20 years in the industry, I am always accountable for everything that I do, including whatever I post on social media.

“I believe every action I take will be judged by the public.

“This incident has badly affected my reputation as a celebrity and entrepreneur,” she said.

She added that she would always hold a high standard of ethics in everything that she did.

“But as humans, we are not perfect,” Siti Sarah said.

> Singer and contestant of reality show Big Stage 3 Sandra Dianne is in intensive care unit (ICU) in Hospital Putrajaya.

She is reported to be unconscious after being involved in an accident along the Elite highway, near Subang Jaya at 2.30pm on Saturday, Harian Metro reported.

The 26-year-old suffered head injuries after the car she was driving overturned on the highway.

The Sabahan singer was on her way to Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) for a full rehearsal for the fourth week of Big Stage 3.

Astro Ria manager Emarina Kamal said Sandra would be exempted from performing for now.

“We sympathise with her and we hope she will recover soon.

“We will give updates on her condition on the show periodically.

“She will not be eliminated even though she did not perform,” she said.

The fourth concert of Big Stage 3 was broadcast live from PICC on Sunday.

Head of Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Supt Azman Shariat said the incident happened when Sandra lost control of the vehicle.

“The victim used the emergency brake before hitting the car in front of her and another two vehicles.

“After colliding with three cars, her car overturned,” Supt Azman said.
