Aida rejects RM20mil marriage proposal

DRAMA producer Datuk A. Aida (pic) turned down a marriage proposal despite the suitor offering her RM20mil to become his second wife, Metro Ahad reported.

“Yes, it’s true that several men asked for my hand in marriage. In fact, one person wanted to transfer RM20mil into my bank account if I were to say yes to him,” said Aida, 50.

However, the single mother of three said she spurned him as he was already married.

Aida, whose real name is Zaidah Awang, said she was not seeking wealth.

“If indeed the right person comes along, then I will accept him. I don’t need a rich guy. I want someone who can guide me.”

Aida married vocalist Ameng from the group Spring in 1994 but they divorced in 2003.

She then married police officer Sufian Sulaiman in 2007 but they went their separate ways in 2013.

In 2018, she married actor Ariff Aziz. Their union ended 10 months later.

L/Kpl Mohd Noh Samsudin had no choice but to abide by quarantine procedures.

The 25-year-old had hoped to see his wife Norhidayah Amishammudin even though she was in critical condition in hospital but it was too late.

Mohd Noh was part of the Malaysian Battalion 850-7 (Malbatt 850-7) peace mission in Lebanon, deployed under the United Nations Interim Force.

The mission was supposed to end early next month but Mohd Noh was allowed to return earlier after his 25-year-old wife became critically ill a week ago.

She died on Friday night due to bacterial infections in the lungs. She was suffering from kidney disease.

After landing at the KL International Airport on Saturday, Mohd Noh went through all the Covid-19 standard operating procedure.

“With the help of the Armed Forces and the Health Ministry, he managed see his wife for the last time in the PPE suit before he was brought back to the quarantine centre,” said his mother-in-law Norzita Lamchek.
