PLUS highway users urged to observe SOP
PETALING JAYA: All PLUS highway users are being urged to follow health and safety protocols to contain the Covid-19 outbreak, says PLUS Malaysia Bhd managing director Datuk Azman Ismail.
He said standard operating procedure (SOP) imposed by the authorities should be strictly observed in view of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the country.
“Wear masks at all times, and strictly observe the one-metre social distance order when at our R&R (rest and service areas), stopovers and when interacting with PLUS customer service assistants,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Azman said all parties should observe SOP to ensure the safety of customers, their frontline staff and the crowd at its facilities.
Apart from checking temperature, PLUS has made it mandatory for customers to use the MySejahtera contact tracing application when using its facilities.
“We also emphasise on cleanliness at food courts and the entire R&R premises, stopovers and plaza tolls. Routine scheduled cleaning and sanitisation exercise are carried out.
“PLUS will step up surveillance to ensure safety and comfort of our frontliners, customers and business partners,” he said.
PLUS is the operator of the NorthSouth Expressway, New Klang Valley Expressway, Seremban-Port Dickson Highway, North-South Expressway Central Link, MalaysiaSingapore Second Link, Butterworth-Kulim Expressway and Penang Bridge.
