Three schools get sponsor for Internet
THREE Tamil schools in Ipoh have received free wireless Internet access for three months, thanks to the Nesa Karangal NGO, Makkal Osai reported.
Its chairman Jeyaseelan Raju said Internet access had become even more critical in schools which had to conduct classes online during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The NGO will pay for 30GB of data connection for three months.
The schools also received outdoor canopies from the NGO to be used for extracurricular and sports activities.
> The Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) has urged Indian traders not to push the authorities for approval of Deepavali bazaars and additional tents, Malaysia Nanban reported.
“This is to prevent crowds as a measure to avoid Covid-19 transmissions,” CAP said.
