PETALING JAYA: The Star Virtual Education Fair is back!
Visitors can access a variety of courses, programmes and scholarships with the click of a mouse from the comfort of their homes during the three-day virtual event hosted by Star Media Group (SMG).
After 33 years of successful education shows since 1987, SMG is extending open invitations to students, parents and interested parties to the second Star Virtual Education Fair from Dec 18 to 20 from 10am to 7pm daily.
In light of the high number of Covid-19 cases and the implementation of the conditional movement control order, i.Star Events Sdn Bhd general manager Jason Yap said the virtual fair would be the safest and most convenient method for those interested to learn about their options and future pathways.
Describing it as a “one-stop” education event, Yap noted that the fair would bring together universities, colleges and educational institutions under one roof to provide aspiring students and parents with information to make the right choice.
“This virtual exhibition is the perfect platform for students, school leavers, parents and those interested in furthering their studies to obtain the latest information from exhibitors under one roof.

various local and international higher learning institutions such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Asia
Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), University of Nottingham Malaysia, RCSI and UCD Malaysia Campus, UOW Malaysia
KDU Penang University College, University of Reading Malaysia, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and more,” he said.
Yap added that students could download university brochures and instantly connect to education counsellors in real time.
For more information on the study programmes, he urged students to tune in to live webinars and career guidance talks which will shed light on educational programmes and courses.
“Students can gain information on their preferred courses through webinars that will run from 10am to 7pm for three days.
“During these 50-minute sessions, varsity representatives will offer their insights into selected courses.
“Students will be able to directly interact with the speakers online,” he said.
At the end of the fair, there will be a lucky draw while freebies will be given out daily to those who register for and participate in the webinars.
Three lucky winners stand to win a Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite each, depending on how actively they participate in the webinars.
Winners will be notified three days after the virtual fair ends.
