HONG Kong actress Jacqueline Wong, who got married last October, is rumoured to be pregnant after she was seen visiting a shrine in Japan where devotees pray for a safe childbirth, China Press reported.

The speculation started after she uploaded a picture of herself visiting Fushimi Inari-taisha in Kyoto.

Wong, 35, was photographed standing among its famed red gates.

“In the past, I have only seen it in photos. Now, I am here in person,” she wrote.

The shrine is known to be a popular place for expectant mothers to pray for a safe childbirth.

Wong married musician Lai Man Wang four years after gaining infamy when she was caught kissing singer Andy Hui, the husband of pop diva Sammi Cheng, at the back of a taxi in 2019.

The scandal grabbed headlines in Hong Kong media for months.

> Malaysian singer Juztin Lan has tied the knot with influencer Quennie Ong after five years of dating, China Press reported.

The pair registered their marriage at the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall on Wednesday.

In a social media post, Lan said they went through a lot in the past five years and grew closer together as a couple.

“We changed a lot; we became each other’s better half. By taking a step into the next stage of our lives, it will no longer be you or me – it will be us together.

“Thank you, Mrs Lan. I thank you for the time we will spend together in the future,” he wrote.

Lan, who is from Ipoh, got into the music scene after becoming the first runner-up at the 2009 Astro Star Quest singing competition when he was only 19.

He is best known for singing Cantonese tunes which earned him the moniker “Prince of Malaysian Cantopop.”
