Malay house featured in many Raya ads

A TRADITIONAL two-storey Malay house in Kampung Endah, Selangor, is a filming hotspot for Hari Raya commercials, Kosmo! reported.

The house has been featured in advertisements by major companies as well as the filming location for cooking shows and movies.

The house, which is over 90 years old, is owned by Haji Ramlan, 68, who inherited it from his late parents.

“Its classic architectural features such as the stone front staircase and the unique windows make it an ideal location for filming Raya commercials,” he said.

His wife Amnah Kasim, 63, said many directors and production crews also appreciated the vintage items in the house.

“There are many vintage items, such as antique television, telephone and even tiered bowls. This adds to the classic village element that we want to showcase to the audience,” she said.

“This is a test for him. He faces the same test often.

“I also don’t know how to comment on the matter. Moreover, I have been involved in controversies with Aliff myself,” the 33-yearold said.

Oktovia, whose real name is Wan Syamira Putri Oktovia Wan

Now married to footballer Mohamad Khairul Efsan Md Isa, the actress was involved in a controversy with Aliff in 2019.

Aliff is involved in a scandal after he was nabbed with actress Ruhainies by Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department officers at a condominium in Kuala Lumpur for suspected khalwat (close proximity).

His wife, Bella, has filed for divorce for the second time.
