Learn reiki for wellbeing

-

PRONOUNCED as rei -ki, which means “universal life force” in Japanese, reiki is briefly explained as an ancient energy regeneration technique. To master the art of reiki, belief is not a prerequisite and no props are required. A traditional system which does not revolve around any religion, reiki is inclusive and can be learned by anyone above the age of eight. Once trained in the art of reiki, one can practise every day without any conscious effort and at no additional cost.

The benefits of reiki are manifold. When reiki energy is activated or enhanced within the body, the brain wave pattern automatically slows down to between 8 and 10 hertz (alpha stage), which is similar to the state achieved in meditation.

In the alpha brain wave stage, the body enters into de-stress mode. Vital functions of the body are harmonised as a result with the aid of the energy.

Positive effects experienced over time with reiki include: 1. the experience of inner calm; 2. relief from stress, fatigue and low-spirit; 3. release of tension from the muscles and the mind; 4. rapid regeneration on the physical level; 5. the release of past negative experiences and

mindset at cellular levels.

Reiki is more than a physical healing modality, it enhances mind, emotion and spiritual awareness, bringing the four aspects into a state of balance.

Unlike tai chi, qi gong and yoga, the life force enhancement in reiki does not require exercise, special breathing, mantras or a set environment. It can be easily practiced as part of one’s daily routine.

Through reiki, one can increase vitality, slow down the effects of aging, improve physical stamina and emotional wellbeing.
