Be clear about who you are
UNTIL I have a clear definition of who I am, I will always be looking for something, or try to copy and be someone else.
Only when I am clear about who I am, then I can recognise my own specialities – what I do best and also what I can’t do. And only then I can happily play my part.
Contentment is the best gift I can give to anyone, because many are not satisfied with themselves. When someone comes in front of me and I am able to give them love, respect and contentment, I uplift them.
It is easy to get affected by one another – questioning the other’s behaviour, why things went wrong, complaining verbally or mentally.
But when I’m happy with who I am, I will accept everyone. This acceptance is the most valuable support I can lend to others.
One person’s part may be sweet; another’s may be bitter. But I cannot interact only with the sweet ones and reject the bitter ones.
Most importantly, I must take care of my mind. When the mind is weak, the situation becomes a problem.
But when the mind is balanced, the situation becomes a challenge. And when the mind is strong, the situation becomes an opportunity.
Sometimes, even the wealthy and powerful can be discontented. I can be helpful by sharing with them my contentment without getting involved in their problems.
Contentment is having a heart so full of God’s love, that nothing can penetrate it.
“I can remain relaxed and content even if others don’t change to fit in with my own expectations and values.”
