4 TESTED POSITIVE FOR BANNED SUBSTANCES

-

KUALA LUMPUR: The National AntiDoping Agency of Malaysia yesterday said four athletes who competed in July’s Malaysia Games had tested positive for banned substances. Agency unit head Nishel Kumar said those involved were a weightlifter, boxer and two archers. “All were medal winners in the under21 category,” he told a press conference. Kumar said the athletes have a right to challenge the results and have their ‘B’ samples tested. All four face a four-year ban in line with the 2015 World Anti-Doping Agency code if found guilty.
