THE Great Eastern Viper Challenge 2016 is part of Great Eastern Life’s “Live Great” programme. It is the first integrated health and wellness programme by an insurance company in the region. Since the inception of the programme, Great Eastern Life Assurance has rolled out numerous popular events such as the signature Live Great Run, FitForLife Health Fair and the Largest Zumba Fitness Party.

This year, 10,000 mighty warriors took on challenges to prove their grit, strength and determination at the second instalment of the Great Eastern Viper Challenge 2016 at Great Eastern Viper Arena and Great Eastern Genting King of the Mountain. Up next is the Great Eastern Viper Challenge Sepang.

“In fulfilling Great Eastern’s brand aspirations as a Life Company, we hope to inspire Malaysians to live healthier and better. As the title sponsor for Great Eastern Viper Challenge 2016, we recognise how the challenging obstacle course can motivate everyone, especially our youth, to adopt a healthier lifestyle in every way – physically and mentally.

“The event promotes not only a well-balanced and holistic idea of good health but also emotional wellness to foster camaraderie and teamwork,” said Great Eastern Life director and CEO Datuk Koh Yaw Hui.

Great Eastern Life Assurance, the title sponsor for the Viper Challenge, is bent on motivating participants and pushing them out of their comfort zones and beyond their limits to prove their physical strength and mental endurance. Participants were required to run, jump, slide, climb and crawl their way along a 10km route to reach the finish line.

In total, participants faced 15 challenges along the route, which included a horizontal rock climbing wall and a four-metre peg wall.

The third Great Eastern Viper Challenge 2016 instalment will be held at Sepang International Circuit on Nov 5, 2016.

Registration is open on the official Viper Challenge website.
