RM405B INTERNATIO­NAL RESERVES AS AT SEPT 30

PETALING JAYA: Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) internatio­nal reserves amounted to RM405 billion (US$97.7 billion) as at Sept 30, 2016. The reserves position is sufficient to finance 8.4 months of retained imports and is 1.2 times the short-term external debt. “The increase in reserves in ringgit terms was mainly due to the quarterly adjustment for foreign exchange revaluatio­n changes following the strengthen­ing of other currencies against the ringgit during the third quarter,” BNM said. the fire-fighting vehicles is valid for three years from Sept 29, 2016, while the maintenanc­e services job is for five years upon the expiry of the two-year warranty period of the firefighti­ng vehicles.
