TAK­ING PIC­TURES, VIDEOS IRKS DEPUTY SPEAKER

SEV­ERAL mem­bers of Par­lia­ment who took pic­tures and videos dur­ing the Bud­get 2017 de­bate have irked Deputy Speaker Datuk Is­mail Mo­hamed Said. In is­su­ing a stern warn­ing, Is­mail rep­ri­manded law­mak­ers caught do­ing so in­side the house when it was in ses­sion. Among the names men­tioned by Is­mail was PKR’s Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin. “Please ad­here to the house rules and be seated in your place,” he re­minded both the gov­ern­ment and op­po­si­tion fed­eral law­mak­ers in the Lower House. Is­mail also told those who had taken pic­tures and videos to hand their hand­phones to the mas­ter-at-arms to be deleted.
