THREE NABBED OVER FALSE CLAIMS

ALOR STAR: Kedah Malaysian AntiCorruption Commission (MACC) has arrested an officer of a government-linked company and two contractors to facilitate investigations into a false claim made for Telekom Malaysia utility works under the Sungai Kedah/Anak Bukit flood mitigation plan last July. A source said the three men were picked up at about 10am for allegedly submitting a false claim amounting to RM400,000 to the state Department of Irrigation and Drainage without the works being carried out. – Bernama
