20 FOREIGNERS DETAINED IN POLICE OP

GEORGE TOWN: Eighty foreign nationals from various countries were rounded-up in an operation by the police at Jalan Cantonment, Pulau Tikus and the Batu Ferringhi night market here on Saturday. Northeast district police chief ACP Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said 20 of them, aged between 18 and 40, were detained for not having valid travel documents, over-staying and not having valid work permits. They were from Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal and Bangladesh. – Bernama
