The food of love
> Ina Garten’s tribute to her husband, Cooking for Jeffrey, is Amazon.com’s best cookbook of this year
Cooking for Jeffrey are perhaps just as intimately acquainted with the doting, supportive husband as they are with the host, as Jeffrey is a regular fixture on her shows. Slipping in second spot on the list behind Cooking for Jeffrey is Anthony Bourdain’s first cookbook in 10 years, Appetites: A Cookbook by Anthony Bourdain. Appetites is described as a compilation of favourite recipes gathered over 40 years of travel and professional cooking, dishes he prepares regularly for friends and family – approachable recipes for the at-home chef. They include roast chicken with lemon butter and candied sweet potatoes. Rounding out the top three spots is Skinnytaste Fast and Slow: Knockout QuickFix and Slow Cooker Recipes by popular food blogger Gina Homolka and dietitian-author Heather K. Jones.
The book features 140 dishes like chicken and dumpling soup, Korean-style beef tacos and spicy harissa lamb ragu.
