MOM, DAUGHTER HELD FOR SHOPLIFTING
JOHOR BARU: A mother and daughter were arrested for allegedly stealing various items of daily essentials worth RM1,300 at a supermarket in Taman Bukit Indah here on Saturday. Iskandar Puteri district police chief Supt Noor Hashim Mohamad yesterday said the two, aged 58 and 30, were arrested at about 1pm by a security guard at the supermarket before a police report was lodged at about 5.30pm. “Among the stolen items were two packets of rice, two bottles of cooking oil, laundry detergent, toys, several pieces of children’s clothing and a few bars of soap,” he told reporters yesterday. – Bernama
