> With various achievements under its belt, MSU provides the best for its graduates

- BY BERNARD CHEAH

Agraduate study is one of the educational pathways for those who want to improve career prospects or job satisfaction, for an intellectual challenge, or to pursue a longstanding interest.

Management & Science University (MSU) has designed considerable flexibility in the graduate study environment so that you can study in such a way that works best for you.

The award-winning homegrown study programmes of the university meet stringent standards set by both local and international bodies.

These accreditors include the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), the United Kingdom’s Accreditation Services for International Colleges (ASIC), and Japan’s Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow (ABEST21).

MSU was accorded Excellent Status University twice on the national university-rating system SETARA by the Higher Education Ministry, as well as The Most Entrepreneurial University in 2016.

Recently, the QS 2016 Rating awarded MSU five stars for its Teaching, Employability, Facilities, Social Responsibility, and Inclusiveness – placing the university on world-class standards.

MSU’s School of Graduate Studies (SGS) offers advanced degrees at MSc and PhD levels covering the wide areas of Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Food Service Technology, Biomedicine, Engineering, Applied Science, Biomedical Sciences, Information Technology, Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy.

The graduate programmes of study at MSU emphasise a number of distinctive and desirable features – including a high level of engagement between local and international faculty and graduates, and an environment that fosters a global community of scholars.

All of the programmes offered are supported and complemented by a wide range of interdisciplinary units and this result in the promotion of intellectual activities and research across the university.

The SGS provides support to graduates throughout their learning experience at the university. It also provides a creative and innovative teaching and delivery, a global leadership programme and social facilities.

Working with all faculties and non-academic departments, including industry and other institutions to enhance the graduates’ experience, SGS is committed to delivering a quality service exclusive to MSU’s growing postgraduate community.

The PhD and Master programmes are research based and the degrees will be awarded by MSU on the successful completion of a thesis. The examination is by assessment of the thesis and the research on which it is based. A viva voce is required for the PhD programme. Assessment of the taught programmes is by assignments and written examination.
