LABOURER CHARGED WITH MURDER

TEMERLOH: A plantation worker was charged in the magistrate’s court here yesterday with the murder of a housemate following an argument over the victim’s cooking. Mohamad Rosli Naqur Gani ( pix), 35, from Perak, said he understood the charge after it was read out. However, no plea was recorded. Mohamad Rosli was charged with murdering R. Devadas, 60, between 1.50am and 11.20am on April 17 at a house in Chuan Leng Rubber Estate, Bellenggu Halt, Mentakab. The charge carries the death sentence. – Bernama
