The STES CAE programme is designed to support ACCA affiliates and students in developing high level knowledge and intellectual skills needed for leadership in today’s global finance arena. The programme was established through a collaboration between the Association of Charted Certified Accounts (ACCA) and the University of London International Programme (UOLIP).

ACCA executive director of strategy and development Alan Hatfield shared some insights on the programme and how it provides a solution to the accounting industry.

“We are working towards developing accountants the world needs. In Malaysia, 60,000 qualified accountants will be in demand by 2020, hence, we are working in partnership with Sunway TES towards this objective,” said Hatfield.

FLEXIBLE PATHWAYS

There are two pathways to attaining the Masters in Science (MSc) Professional Accountancy. The programme is made available to current full-time ACCA students who have passed all ACCA F1 to F9 papers or gained exemptions approved by ACCA, and passed ACCA professional level P1Governance, Risk and Ethics, P2Corporate Reporting and P3Business Analysis papers, along with an additional three modules. Students and candidates can choose to complete the programme within six months or five years for both pathways. The first intake is scheduled for July.
