MSU sets new records
IN conjunction with the “World Health Day 2017”, Management & Science University (MSU) in collaboration with International Medical School Student Association (IMSA) and MSU’s Medical and Health Sciences cluster has set a new record in the Malaysia Book of Records for The Largest Simultaneous Participation in a Health Screening Session. The theme of the programme was “Fight Against Depression”.
A total of 10,983 people had their health screened at several places such as MSU main campus in Shah Alam, MSU College branches (Shah Alam, Ampang, Seremban, Kota Baru, Kuala Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak), KLIA2, Aeon Shah Alam and schools in the Klang Valley.
The health screening included checks on Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, as well as glucose and stress level. Besides health screening, there was also a Cardiac Night Run 2.0 and Chat with The Expert on Continuous Medical Education by Prof Zulkifli Ghaus, a Consultant Psychiatrist.
The certificate of achievement was presented to MSU President, Prof Tan Sri Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid by Malaysia Book of Records senior officer Nurasyikin Ramli in a ceremony at the university.
This programme is in line with the university’s commitment in building strong bonding and networking between campus and local community through community engagement activities. It is also another continuous effort carried out to inculcate culture excellence and strong relationship among the MSUrians.
This record breaking achievement is one of the annual events conducted by MSU and its collegiate institution, MSU College, known for their ability and commitment at creating new records and breaking old ones. To date, MSU and MSU College are the records holders and achievers of 31 records in the MBR. – Alex Chai
