Tackling troubled joints

-

AS a former national hockey player who has competed in various local and international events including the Olympic Games back in 1982, Colin Sta Maria, 55, looked at the flight of stairs before him and his heart sank. His knees have been giving him problems since his late 40s. Until he got arthritis in his knees, Colin never truly understood the feeling of helplessness, of not being able to do something as simple as going up a flight of stairs. Even walking is a challenge. Although Colin no longer plays competitive hockey, he still enjoys sports and takes great pleasure in his runs. However, his knees hurt terribly and get stiff after a jog, so much so, he had to give that up too. As an active sportsman, Colin confessed to feeling extremely frustrated not being able to go about his life doing whatever he wishes and going wherever he wants. known as Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMP enzymes) to fix any damages incurred. Before that, MMP enzymes break down the joints to allow for remodelling.

The problem in people with arthritis is that these MMP enzymes are unable to “switch off”, causing joints to be continuously in a broken down state. As a result, these MMP enzymes end up destroying the joints, whether in the knees, fingers or hips. Moreover, MMP enzymes aggravate inflammation, which contribute to symptoms such as pain, stiffness and swelling. glucosamine or any other joint supplement in the market. Glucosamine is likened to a supply of raw ingredients for joint cells to utilise to repair damaged cartilage (i.e. food for joint cartilage). However, glucosamine does not have any effect on MMP enzymes. Hence, no matter how much glucosamine or chondroitin supplements are consumed, joint problems still persist unless the root cause, the MMP enzymes are controlled. Biolane is pivotal in inhibiting MMP enzymes, which allows the joint to rebuild itself.

Although there are various New Zealand green lipped mussel supplements in the market, consumers should look for the Biolane logo to ensure they are getting the full benefits of 40 years of research history. Successfully formulated into a capsule, Biolane is now making it possible to restore troubled joints in the knees, shoulders, neck, back and fingers and revert it to normal functionality. when taken together with painkillers, leads to a reduction in gastric lesions by more than 50 percent.
