THE FINNISH phone giant is back in Malaysia with a new home, and a new range of smartphones, including the iconic Nokia 3310.

“Today marks the beginning of an exciting new era for Nokia smartphones, as we reintroduce this much-loved and trusted brand to Malaysian smartphone consumers, alongside existing Nokia-branded feature phones,” said HMD Global country manager for Malaysia and Myanmar, Vijay Thangavelu.

First seen at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the phones launched include the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6, as well as the allnew Nokia 3310 feature phone.

The Nokia 3, priced at RM599, features an aluminium frame, and a fully-laminated 5in IPS display under a sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass – a c o mbi n a t i o n which promises durability and clarity that is second to none.

The phone is also fitted with an 8MP front and rear camera and comes in four colours: matte black, silver, tempered blue, and copper.

The Nokia 3 is expected to be available in mid-June.

For RM799, the Nokia 5 offers a larger 5.2in IPS HD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, and is encased in a body carved out of a single block of 6000 series aluminium.

Powering it is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 mobile platform.

The Nokia 5 sports a 13MP phase detection autofocus rear camera, with dual tone flash, and an 8MP front-facing camera with an 84° wideangle lens.

It will be available in matte black, silver, and tempered blue by the end of June.

The Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5in full HD screen and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos sound.

It shares the same processor as the Nokia 5, with the addition of a Qualcomm Adreno 505 graphics processor.

Priced at RM999, the Nokia 6 will be available by the end of July in matte black, silver, tempered blue, and copper.
