Seeing the light amid confusion

-

HUMANITY today is in a state of great confusion. Almost everyone is confused about something or other, even the wisest of the wise.

Many are groping in the dark and trying to make sense out of the confusion surrounding them.

In such utter confusion, let us try to look at the bright side of it.

Confusion is a great buster of ego, especially of the intellectuals, who are perhaps the most confused of the lot. They think too much, get tired by too much thinking and feel too tired when it’s time to act.

Confusion is growing because those who think, do not act; those who act, do not think.

“Think before you speak” is the wise old saying but today many speak first and think later, thereby, making the confusion even worse!

And yet, confusion is also a great leveller. All human beings are born equal, but this does not go down well for those who consider themselves to be smarter than others. Enter confusion, and they begin to realise their folly. For this, we must thank confusion, a great leveller indeed.

Confusion also checks the speed of our thoughts, in the same way as a traffic jam checks the speed of a racing car.

Confusion can be a great motivator of righteous thinking as it demolishes faulty thinking, and wisdom dawns.

Just as the dawn ushers a new day, confusion leads to wisdom.

So confusion can be that good omen to herald the light at the end of the tunnel. It is a sign of transition from darkness to light, ignorance to enlightenment, the harbinger of better life and times.
