> Japanese lifestyle magazine Senyum for entries to its annual photo contest

SMILE, and the world smiles with you. Capture one of those smiles and you might find yourself winning some great prizes. Gerbang Fuji, the publishing company of Japanese magazine Senyum in Malaysia, is now calling for entries for its Senyum photo contest.

Open to all residents in Malaysia, the theme is, what else, but ‘Smile!’

Senyum is a lifestyle magazine for Japanese residents in Malaysia, featuring articles on travel, food, education, Malaysian culture and so much more.

Senyum magazine publisher Tomoko Kurahashi shares: “We started to publish Senyum magazine in 2009 for Japanese expatriate­s.

“I named our magazine Senyum because we wish all Japanese in Malaysia to live happily with lots of smiles.

“We believe that to know more about Malaysia makes our life in Malaysia richer.”

This photo contest is part of the magazine’s efforts to reach out to its readers and residents of Malaysia. This year marks the fourth time Senyum is running the contest.

The main sponsor for the contest is Canon Malaysia. Other co-sponsors include All Nippon Airways, Zero Halliburto­n, E&O Hotel in Penang, Holiday Villa in Langkawi and Subang, Ginza Sushimasa Japanese restaurant, Sushi Oribe Japanese restaurant, Japanese Fine Dining Hanaya, Troika Sky Dining, Uokatsu Japanese restaurant, and Under the Light Yoga Studio.

With big company sponsors like these, expect some great prizes for the winning entries.

Deadline for submisson of entries is June 30, 2017. The winning photograph­s will be featured in the September issue of Senyum magazine.
